Who are the AT Jumpers?

This precision jump rope team consists of girls and boys – 8 to 14 years old - enrolled in public school in Annandale. Many are second generation immigrants to the United States, having been born and raised in homes where languages as diverse as Vietnamese, Spanish, Arabic, Korean, and Serbo-Croatian are spoken first.
We are a State Demo Team for the American Heart Association.

HISTORY of the AT Jumpers

Conceived in 1996 by Physical Education teacher Martha Huggins as an after-school outreach to an unusually diverse group of grade schoolers, the AT Jumpers of Annandale Terrace Elementary School in Annandale, Virginia have gone from a neighborhood school gymnasium to the South Lawn of the White House in just six short years.
